Hey Jude!

Here he is by special request....Jude Thaddeus! For those of you that don't know the story behind the name, here it is... Chris' first name is actually Thaddeus, but always went by his middle name Chris. His parents gave him the name from St. Jude Thaddeus, Patron Saint of Miracles and his mom has a story behind that as well. While growing up with about 5 other boys named Chris (including my brother), he decided that he wanted his son's name to be unique and different. We loved the name Jude and kept Thaddeus as the entire part of the saint's name and as a family name. Jude is a Miracle...and we are partial to giving to St.Jude's Children's Hospital when we have the chance. Perhaps he will grow up to be as handsome and charismatic as Jude Law (hispanic version?) or perhaps the song Hey Jude will inspire him to be a creative musical talent. We have also found many meanings for Thaddeus including "from the heart", "Courage", and "Gift from God". All of these describe both father and son alike.

Hello!

Well, it's official, I've jumped on the baby blog bandwagon! Blogging is something that I've been wanting to do for a while, but never really had anything interesting enough to write about until now. Our precious baby boy was born February 10th and our lives haven't quite been the same for one second and we wouldn't have it any other way. Seriously, he's only been around for a couple of months now, but what did I ever do with myself before? This blog has been a long time coming and on the back burner for a while. Then I suddenly realized today that I needed to start recording and sharing all these special moments and memories if not for anyone else but myself. I was looking at the pictures of him from just a few weeks ago and what a totally different person he appears to be...he is growing so fast! So I decided today that the spring cleaning/organizing, the emails from work, and everything else that I've been meaning to do could wait. This time, this moment, these memories are only here to enjoy in the present and I need to capture them now before it's to late.
